Hughes Engineering have multiple new positions available & currently seeking Fabricator - Welders / Boilermakers for Site Based Project Works & Workshop Fabrication in the Goldfields Region. These positions are offered as FIFO 2/1 ex Perth.

We're locally owned & operated based in Kalgoorlie - Boulder with a strong emphasis on project scope of work deliverables, including tank refurbishments & new builds, structural steel remediation programs, steel fabrication & welding, fixed plant maintenance & repairs, construction; asset protection (Industrial Coatings Division) as well as workshop fabrication offering a huge variety in the scope of works we deliver.

We offer end to end solutions for our clients being a one stop service provider and known for being specialists in our field throughout the Goldfields.

About the Positions

We are looking for experienced Fabricator - Welders / Boilermakers based on the following:

• Up to 12-hour shifts 5 am to 5 pm, covering both workshop and site-based projects in the Kalgoorlie-Goldfields region. We schedule our crews across work fronts and do not offer only Workshop or only Site Works. You must be prepared to work across different work fronts at any time. Each swing can vary as we work a multitude of projects side by side. If you are looking for variety; these roles are perfect!

What's Required

Qualifications, Tickets & Licenses

• A recognised, relevant trade qualification AUS / NZ Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent qualification
• National Police Clearance (must meet site approval standards for multiple Tier 1 Gold Mining Sites).
• Working at Heights Certification < 2 Years
• Confined Space Certification < 2 Years
• White Card Construction
• High Risk License (LF, EWP) (preferred)
• Driver's License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment comprehensive medical including Drug & Alcohol screening

Technical Capabilities

• Be able to fabricate from engineering and isometric drawings
• Structural repairs and modifications experience both in a workshop environment and mine site/s
• Fixed plant maintenance repairs experience
• Welding experience Mig, Flux Core, Weld MMAW including vertical and overhead, Pipe welding and LN25
